The Great Escape River House was literally the roomiest and most versatile home my family has ever rented. The house has at least eight or ten different areas for social grouping. Then the outside has at least as many places to gather. It exceeded my expectations on every level.

Stayed here for 4 nights and had an absolute blast! Patricia was so helpful with instructions for the house and accommendations of places to go nearby. The house is beautiful and had so many amenties to enjoy. We even got a keg loaded into the bar before we arrived by Patricia, so it was cool and ready as soon as we arrived! The house isn't far at all from Biloxi casinos or fishing in the gulf. The kitchen is HUGE and has everything you could need. Very glad we picked this house for our vacation and will likely be coming back in the future! Highly recommend!!

The Great Escape River House - great place for large family reunion!

We highly recommend the River House for a family reunion! It is a midway location for our family who live in the Dallas and Orlando areas. We had 8 adults and 6 children. It was a comfortable week together - plenty of room for all and plenty to do. The pool was the greatest attraction, but the pool table was a close second! The hot tub, ping pong table, basketball goal, dock for fishing and lots of room for table games were great too . All 14 of us could eat together at the U shaped bar area in the kitchen ! There was plenty to enjoy together without even leaving the house. Patricia was nice to work with, answer questions and respond to us when we called. We hope to have another vacation there in the future and recommend it to other large families!

Top of the Line Rental

Stayed here in May with 12 men on a golf trip. I have been doing a golf trip with these guys for 22 years and this is in the top 2 places we have stayed at. The accommodations are top notch. Plenty of beds for each guy. Great living area with so much room--no one ever got cramped. The outside area was great with the pool and Hot tub. Also great for grilling. The kitchen was so great that we never went out to eat. This place is more prepared for a group than any place I have been--3 coffee makers--3 dishwashers. Its a must stay at. I plan on making it our yearly place to go. Owners was also great to work with.

Words can not explain the amount of fun we had and the cherished memories we made. Your awesome vacation rental truly contributed to make all this possible. We were all very pleased with the accommodations (we each had our own bed!) the fully equipped kitchen was awesome and left nothing to be desired, and most definitely impressive was the "cleanliness" of the entire house. And Yeah for the elevator!!! We have all been chit-chatting via email since we got home of how nice your place truly is. We have also been telling friends and family. My Family Vacation

The pictures do not do this place justice. The kitchen was amazing!! It was exactly what we expected and much more. Very well maintained and clean. I would recommend this rental to anyone in a heartbeat! Only thing on my wish list is an elevator for the guests. It was quite a chore hauling everything up the stairs but we did it! "I really try to investigate a vacation rental. Patricia (owner) was very very helpful and great with all my questions. The Children (ages 4-17) really wanted to stay on the beach but with so many of us it was impossible to fine one place. On the second day my 13 year old son walked up to me and said Mom I'm glad we stayed here and not on the beach!! That was worth it all!!! During our stay we never left the house other than 1 day we went to ship island! That was all the kids needed and they were ready to come back to the house! Great for large families and it is absolutely home away from home! I would highly recommend staying here!!!!"

Great place for a Family Vacation

"The house and property was beautiful, spacious, and functional. The kitchen was fully stocked with any type of cookware you may need. The kitchen was large enough for several cooks to work at the same time. There was plenty to keep the 8 children occupied. They were either swimming, walking the trails by the river, playing pool, playing x-box in the media room or dancing to the stereo. The adults enjoyed the spacious balcony with its cool breezes, beautiful view and in the evenings the hot tub. The house was only a short distance from Gulfport and Biloxi. We took the Ferry Boat to Ship Island and its beautiful beach. The sand is white and the water is clear. The children enjoyed watching the sting rays swim around and all the hermit crabs. Some of the adults enjoyed a night out at The Isle of Capri Casino in Biloxi. We did some great fishing with Bay Charter Fishing and caught our limit of White Trout. The children and men enjoyed the trip to the Alligator Farm in Pasacoula. They were able to hold a baby gator and ride an air boat through the swamps. We have great memories of our trip to Gulfport and the Great Escape River House."

Plenty of space to get away and not be on top of each other. Beds are big, even the bunk beds, all very comfortable. 50th Anniversary family get together

"Your search is over. This is the one!!! The Great River Escape House is tucked away in a very peaceful setting, yet close to restaurants, grocery stores, the Gulfport beaches and casinos. The house is huge, comfortable, clean, has a kicking air conditioning unit and everything you desire. The mattresses are great quality and anywhere you choose to relax there will be a television and remote nearby. This house is equipped to provide as much action or serenity as you desire. If you think the pictures make the house look spacious, wait until you see it in person. My family loved it! We cooked in the beautiful gourmet kitchen, watched movies, played pool, whipped up some frozen pina coladas at the bar, swam, and went in the hot tub. The deck at the river was great for fishing. We caught perch and bass and had a fish fry for dinner. My family has used VRBO to find vacation rentals for a few years now and we would definitely rank The Great River Escape House at the top of the list.
