    If the dates you've requested, are "Must Have" dates, and you like the quote, I urge you not to delay on booking.  
    We often receive inquires, either the same day or week for identical or overlapping dates, months away.  Rarely is an inquiring person told that others are interested in the same dates.  It seems kind of tacky to do so.  The worst part of being a Vacation Rental Owner, isn't telling someone the house is already booked, but rather telling someone you've quoted, who is calling to book, that the dates are no longer available. Just days after quoting them.  
    It is literally heart-breaking, having to give this news to someone willing & ready to book.

    The Great Escape River House received over 500 inquiries this past year; but takes no more than 50 bookings annually. 

      Now, if your dates are VERY flexible, then you do have time, but keep in mind, dates are not blocked off the calendar, until payment has cleared.  
    So 2 or 3 weeks prior to that, a Rental Agreement has been sent, payment has been received, and then still needs to clear.  
    Dates show as available as much as 21 days after the booking process has started.
