Less than .005% of all vacation homes can accommodate over 26 people and a significantly fewer number offer all the amenities this amazing Vacation Home does. The total experience this home provides, sets it apart from any other vacation home.
The Guest count is based on the total number of individual’s staying for the duration and includes any visitors. For example: If This House is booked to sleep 10 people with intentions of entertaining another 15 visitors, the Guest Count is 25. If there are unique circumstances, please feel free to contact me for a more personalized quote. As this is not the “Standard” Vacation Rental, neither is our rental paperwork. As with the House, we’ve tried to anticipate and prevent circumstances from impacting your stay that may result in loss of Refundable Deposit or incurring extra charges, especially due to any miscommunication. We are committed to providing every booking with a stay that not only meets expectations but hopefully exceeds them. Having clearly defined perimeters not only accomplishes but ensures that our Guests receive their full Refundable Deposit back.
On the next web page, “Book Your Great Escape River House,” please:
1. Enter your information, name, email address, cell phone number, and people count as accurate as possible. Your Adult total should include each person, overnight and visiting in the Adult count and the same for the child count.
2. On the calendar displayed below, the form you've just filled out, click on your desired arrival date and desired departure date. 4 months are displayed and if looking for dates further in the future, you can advance with calendar, to show years in the future. More than 8 months out, rates may not be accurate. Hovering over a date, will display its rate. Weekday nights are more affordable than weekend nights Booking a full 7 nights, checking in on a Sunday and out on a Sunday will give a Discounted rate and while the calculator may give the discount for other 7 night stays, it may not apply.
3. Then click “Calculate your Stay.” At this point, Options will be offered. See below for Option details and Options can be added later as well. Select an Option or not, once done you will receive an Instant Quote.
4. After you've received your Instant Quote, a box marked “I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions” will appear, DO NOT CLICK on that BOX, rather....
5. Click on the underlined “Terms and Conditions” (not the box). The link will bring you to a PDF document, which covers all you will need to know about this Rental, the document includes the following:
6. Once you've clicked on the “Terms and Conditions” (not the box), you will be able to create a signature and Electronically sign or fill in the required the blanks. All of this should go fairly smoothly. The only time folks have an issue is with the Occupancy List, where each person who will be staying at the property is listed along with the age they will be during the stay.
7. Occupancy List - It is not unusual, at the time of booking, for this list not to be firmed up or even for the Traveler booking not to know the name for everyone expected to stay. If this is the case with your booking do your best. For instance "Tom's son - 15" or "Kim's BF - 35." Often with golfers, they don't have a firm count, only knowing it will be no more than 16 men and that the age is likely to be, for instance, between 40 - 60 years old. "TBD" for "To Be Determined" for each person coming is fine and enter the lowest possible age.
8. In addition, you will need to upload a copy of your driver's license. If the device you are working with does not allow this, no problem, you can send a copy of your driver's license with the Signed Booking Invoice/Payment Schedule.
9. After doing the above, You should be returned to the Website page you were previously on. Once you agree to the Terms and Conditions electronically, Check the box indicating “I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions”
10. Then Click the box marked “Request it.”
11. This will bring you to a Contact Information page. Enter your contact information including any questions or comments you may have. Then, click the button “NEXT.” This will trigger the system to send both you and Host, the auto generated Booking Invoice/Payment Schedule.. Also once you agree to the “Terms and Conditions” electronically, you will receive an email a copy of this 19 page Terms & Conditions Agreement.
12. Print the Booking Invoice/Payment Schedule you've just received through Email, indicating how you will make your initial payment, choosing 1 of the 4 methods offered, sign where applicable, and either fax it to 844-477-2600 or scan it to: thegreatescaperiverhouse@gmail.com. If you were not able to attach a copy of your driver's license to the Terms & Conditions when you electronically agreed to them, you will want to include a copy of it now. sometimes Faxes are not clear and you may be required to text a photo of your license.
13. Once the above is done, contact Host, preferable by phone call or text, to make sure she's received your documents and discuss if Paying electronically or mailing payment so Host can be on the lookout.

13. Once the above is done, contact Host, preferable by phone call or text, to make sure she's received your documents and discuss if Paying electronically or mailing payment so Host can be on the lookout.
NOTE:
- Payments will not be accepted prior to the above steps being done.
- If mailing the payment, please send it Priority Mail, which will give a Tracking # and result in the payment arriving no later than 3 days after mailing. whereas a Certified mailed envelope is only required to arrive within 30 days.
- Once The above has been done and the initial payment is received, your rental dates are secure. By mailing payment, Priority or Express mail with a tracking #, Owner will “Hold” the dates, not just block them off, but prevent another booking from happening, as long as she's text a photo copy of payment, tracking #, and payment is coming via USPO Priority or Express, FedEx or UPS, and expected to arrive in the next 72 hours.
- After Hitting "Request It!" there will be a comment section. This is where anything that you feel will impact your quote or things I'll need to know is mentioned. For instance, while I do need to know about every traveler to the house, if 4 or less of the travelers are infants to toddlers (36 months or younger), there is no added charge in case their count impacts rates. While we have an elevator that is almost always working, if I know a mobility challenged person is coming, I may schedule an elevator inspection prior to their arrival just to make sure there won't be any issues.
- And its worth pointing out, I'm usually a little overwhelmed with emails and texts are the best way to contact me. I list on Facebook, but Messenger is maybe a worse way to reach out to me than an email.
Options or Add-on's
The following are available up to two weeks prior to arrival & can be added during the booking process described above as well:
PET FEE:
- A Pet Fee is required per pet
- If you can comply with the Pet Policy, included in the documents above, your Dog is less than 20 lbs, it is automatically approved and you can include the Pet Fee(s) with your Quote
- If your Dog is over 20 lbs, you can still include this option when getting your Quote, however, keep in mind, the Dog will still need to be approval and if not approved, you will either not be charged for the Pet Fee or it will be refunded. Although if your Pet's approval is a contingency to booking, please get approval 1st before making a payment
FIREWOOD:
- Is $2 per 1/4 cut log; logs are approximately 12" - 18" and the minimum amount of firewood delivered is $20. Firewood is delivered to under the House, where it will be protected, should it rain.
BOOKINGS MADE 60 DAYS OR FURTHER IN ADVANCE, RATES ARE BASED ON:
- Any stay that includes a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, will be 4 or more nights*
- New Years (12/27 - 01/01), July 4th week (Check-in or out on a Sunday), and Thanksgiving (Tuesday - Sunday), regardless if 1 night or 5 nights are booked, the rate is based on these 5 nights being booked.*
- If booking a Full 7 night stay, March 1st - Thanksgiving, the Weekly Discount will apply to Stays that begin and end on a Sunday. Occasionally there may be exceptions to this, for stays that start and end on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
- Any booking in June or July will either begin or end on a Sunday.
- Any booking that ends or begins on a Saturday will have an extra charge equivalent to that Saturday nights rate, weekly stays that begin AND end on a Saturday will have the pay double this fee and not be eligible for the Weekly discounted rate.
* If Traveler can not stay the entire required # of nights a $150 discount is provided for each night not booked & owner will need to manually calculate that discount off the 4 night rate.

All 3 amazing Vacation Houses are located in the City Limits of Gulfport, MS. Each with a Water Feature, with on a large pond or the Biloxi River.
The Houses are less than 3 miles north of I-10, and less than 8 miles, almost straight south to the Gulf of Mexico Beaches. |
